Informative Tools

Reflection -A brief summary  about informative tool

Everything that we see and hear are information and it does not necessarily has to be a text. Information can come in any format such as text, graphics, sounds, images and videos. Some of the examples of  informative tools include text-based(books, articles, journals, newspapers, etc.), visual tools (charts, maps, diagrams, etc.), interactive tools (google docs, google classrooms, virtual reality, augmented reality, etc.), digital tools(social media, mobile apps, websites, etc.), and many more.
I found that it is very important to integrate informative tool in the classroom as a future teacher because it encourages the learners to explore, think critically, develop research skills and provide learners to analyze the information further expanding their knowledge and skills on learning concepts.
Moreover, through the use of ICT tools like the internet, computers, smartphones, and software applications, vast amounts of information are easily accessible at our fingertips.
I find the informative tools incredibly valuable in our quest for knowledge and understanding. These tools serve as a gateway to explore different subjects, expand our perspectives, and stay informed about the world around us. They empower us to delve deeper into topics that interest us, challenge our existing beliefs, and broaden our horizons. We can become more well-rounded individuals and active participants in our communities.
I observed that each individual has their preferences of where to get information, they have their own strategies to learn the best. The learning styles include visual learner, auditory learner, kinesthetic learner and reader which indicates that each learners with different learning styles have different informative tools to extract knowledge. Some can easily analyze and interpret the sign boards and flyers while some cannot and they prefer videos to learn. In case of myself, I usually prefer videos and I am a tactile learner. I learn the best if I do it myself , if I am physically involved in doing so than listening to lectures.
Therefore,  I strongly feel that it is important to provide various sources of information and integrate ICT for the students or learners to explore, verify, validate the information they get.

The following is the animation that i have created about the body parts to teach lower primary students.
