Reflection

In the digitalized world, communication has undergone a profound transformation, shaping the way we connect, interact, and collaborate. Communication tool in ICT refers to the software, platforms, or devices designed to facilitate communication between teachers and students. It includes various types of tools such as email, instant messaging, video conferencing, social media platforms, voice calling services, collaboration platforms, and blogging/publishing platforms. These tools enable users to exchange messages, share information, collaborate on projects, and engage in discussions across different channels and mediums. We have also learned about the two types of communication tools which are; i. Synchronous communication where the learning happens in real-time with scheduled time and ii. Asynchronous communication is where the exchange of information can take place at any time anywhere.

Google Classroom stands as a robust communication tool in the realm of education, facilitating seamless interaction between educators and students. Its multifaceted features enable efficient dissemination of information, assignment distribution, and feedback exchange, all within a centralized digital platform. Moreover, the comment sections beneath assignments allow for personalized feedback and clarification, nurturing a dynamic dialogue conducive to student growth. With the ability to integrate various Google Workspace apps like Docs, Sheets, and Slides, collaboration transcends physical boundaries, enabling real-time collaboration and peer interaction. Thus, Google Classroom can also be considered a virtual classroom; it emerges as a dynamic communication hub, enhancing the educational experience by fostering continuous engagement and collaboration.
